BEFORE

The cord on my right hand was not as pronounced as on my left hand, but the little finger has two joints contracting: the joint nearest the palm (MCP) and also the middle joint (PIP) of the finger. Each joint's angle of deviation from horizontal is added together to get a total contracture of 55-60 degrees for this little finger.

The ring finger is contracted also, about 15 degrees.

AFTER

The dots you can see on my palm are from the purple marking pen used to mark the points where treatment was needed. The node swelling will go down within a few days.

After treatment the fingers can lie flat again. In this case the ring finger was not contracted severely enough to warrant treatment; you can see I still could not make it lie completely flat on the table.
